Have you ever thought about how easy it is nowadays to get that epic gear? Pre-Burning Crusade seeing someone with one epic was pretty cool. Seeing someone with full epics was mind boggling! Toward the end of Burning Crusade, with a little hard work and some kara farming you could get full epics and even start to get them on your alts. Now, in Wrath of the Lich King it's unusual to see someone not in full epics. Even alts are expected to have epics. If you don't, people assume you must have just hit 80 and haven't been working on it yet.

Blizzard has made it easier than ever to get badge and emblem gear. It's easier to get tier gear, it's easier to get PvP gear. But is it a good thing to throw so many purples at people that its just not epic anymore?
